Wing mirror replacement glass

Was driving home today and noticed the passenger wing mirror glass was vibrating, driver side was fine. Got home and had a look and the mirror came off. On the back there was hardly any glue. Can I stick it back on with sealant and will the heating element still work or shall I get a new replacement? It's on a passat 2006.

if the glass is heated you should see some wiring on the back? normally just stick it back on mate

There is a plastic plate which is where the mirror sticks onto. The plate has wires attached to it so I guess this is what heats up.
