Question for experts , Andy ?

hello all,found this forum whilst browsing thru e46fanatics. I have a request for help,knowledge or advice. I have a 99 e46 sedan imported from germany. I want to upgrade the speakers in the front doors and add an amp. From various posts on the net, I bought a SVEN4 to convert the hu outputs to rca for the aftermarket amp. I went into the boot to check if an oem amp was present but all I saw was the cd changer, the satnav box and another bare-metal box which looks suspiciously like the radio!!!! Could this be the oem amp ? It has two connectors with a bunch of wires attached ( connectors labelled AMP ). I wish to keep the oem HU with the satnav. Any help appreciated. Also Andy, how much will it cost to add a 6 channel amp to power the setup ( fronts,rears and a sub for later) and changing the front speakers ? Thanks . :)

hello mate,
the silver box you are looking at is the factory amp and yes you can convert the outputs to rca for amp use. concerning the six channel amp, what brand did you have in mind?? drop me an email at icecoldaudio@email.com and we can chat about it.
