Will in another thread it has been said that all new BMWs miss the tilted dash , what people don't relize is I-Drive is the new form of the tilted dash , the porpuse of a tilted dash was to make everything within the reeach of the driver , this is what I-Drive does , if you look at the new 5 series or the new 6 series , there aren't alot of buttons on the dash why would you want it tilted. I've used the I-Drive on my cousins E60 520 and its not hard and complicated as the press makes it its really easy , and I kind of like it .
And the tilted dash isn't gone the new 1 I belive has a tilted dash if you don't have I-Drive , and the new 3 I think .

The 1 eries dash is more driver focused than the E90. The E90 has just got a lump of flat black plastic stapled to the bulkhead, no where near as nice IMHO as the E46 dash.

I agree with mystic, the E46/E39 dash's (and whole interiors for that matter) are probably the nicest. Good combination of luxury, functionality and visual appeal imo. There's just something wrong about a bmw without a tilted dash. If the new non-i-drive bm's have it thats great, but they should all have it imo. It's not just about how it looks, it creates a feeling of control and security. Makes you feel like you are the one in control, which, of course you are. Without the dahs (referring to the e60) it seems empty, clinical and somewhat uninvolving.

Excuse me if you think thats all rubbish, just my thoughts amidst a boring bank holiday afternoon. :)
