hi

would anyone out there with an E36 of any kind please be kind enough to post on this thread , with car and year .

Reason i ask is i may have opportunity to offer some e36 bits quite cheap , but want to know if it is worth it before I spend time on this , thanks .

Also let me know if you e36 guys are after anything in particular

thanks

Reporting in as requested.

j-reg e36 316 with m40 engine. :)

Hmm, what am I after...clear lenses maybe? M spoiler? I don't really have any master plans for her tbh. Cheap bootlid respray would be good, but I doubt that's on offer lol. Fog light kit would be nice, but not that big a deal. Say what you can get and I'll tell you what I can't afford. :D

Hmm, still not sure tbh mate. I don't think the look quite fits an E36.

After further consideration I think those eyebrows in the second pic say it all. It looks as if he is trying to make his e36 into an e46 and that was the concern I rose in the original thread. Just looks like you're trying to copy cat the e46. Obviously most people with e36's would probably prefer an e46 but I don't think styling it as such is a good idea. Of course, this is all personal opinion, feel free to disagree. :)

Likewise, I'm not saying you shouldn't sell it Roy, you would probably get a fair bit of interest, just giving feedback.

ps. I don't think people should be ashamed to have an e36 and think it lesser than the e46. It's older, yes, but not necessarily worse. :)

I think it would look much better on dark coloured cars, seen alot worse, but personally, i think the M3 and schnitzer & Alpina front ends are untouchable on the e36, but for someone who dares to be different, i think it would be a nice mod.

Not my cup of tea but there is definately a call for them and when done right can look awsome.
Yalden (off e36coupe) has got a simular style front bumper and his car looks pretty tidy:

Thanks for that, she doesnt get that many compliments any more - used to get a few. Thats why i think the time could be right for me to move on a bit to a 330ci vert. I simply cannot get reasonable insurance on an ///M for at least a year yet.

Yeah, looks like you've done your best with her, now maybe the time to move on. :)

Apologies for hijacking the thread but i'll try to keep it brief....

Being honest I havent actually done much to it, just lowered it, changed the exhaust, upgraded brakes, a chip + induction, everything else was done for me.

Absolutely loving some of the e46's on here + i feel that i need to be a part of it

What a load of tosh, its a great looking car, however, i think with a better set of alloys, it would look fantastic again. Remember how good ben's 318is was, adonis' 328 and also pete 323's car. Wheels make such a difference.
I couldnt believe the difference it made to my car when i changed from M3 evo alloys to acs reps...unbelievable!
