View Full Version : Coilovers for Clubsport

Hi everyone yes i know what your all saying not another thread of coilovers lol.

Got mine fitted over a week ago but wanted to put some miles on the car to get a better view on them and have to say have made the car sooooo much better although i really need to remember its now LOWERED and must avoid sharp crests in driveways :rolleyes: .

Have found the ride quality far more smooth over drain covers ect and the front feels far more stable under and flatter hard cornering.

Big thanks to kav for all his work but was not too impressed with the courtesy wash for the photos ;) . Thanks george for your help on the day and sorting me out that evening.

Some supplies george got for us :D after the last car they fitted these i think he expected to be doing it all day!

Then we moved onto the front

Finally some shots of it slammed only riding on 18's so now need to save for wheels so any ideas welcome. The front is sitting tad lower now i think as the springs have settled in more.

Ha ha yeah not looking too good waiting for it to peel now, car is better thanks for comment still lots to do though.

Thanks for posting up Chris, glad its all settled and you're happy. I'll ring you when the wheel alignment is all booked up :)

Just want to give peeps the heads up on coils, brakes etc. If anyone from the midlands, north side etc need this doing please PM Raj or Sonny who will help you guys out. All here to help fellow EvoT members :)

Very nice Chris, i told u that once u met George that your wallet will take a serious hit! Seriously, my coilys make such a difference to the handling its great, and the stance it spot on too.

Nice one dude, drop looks awesome. As it's a clubsport why not keep the theme of Clubsport? Can you get those wheels in 19s?

Yeah we see that straight away lol was maybe holding out for wheels but if i stick with them will defo get some. Thanks for comment looks much better than before.

Thanks for the comments guys am not going too extreme on this car as want to keep the car noticeable as a clubsport.

J1sua i really like the wheels just think they lack a little something 19 in these would be cool but would have to be specially made.

Cheers fella yeah they were a pig to fit (damn facelift) been looking for genuine mirror glass for ages hoping the second one is in post as we speak, still not retro fitted the powerfold so watch out for that mod! :) .

Will do mate, the auto fold is something i always wanted done to mine, but sold it before i got the chance! any difference between the genuine glass and the non genuine? Car is lookin good mate!

Yes mate the genuine has a curved face and the edge of the glass is noticeably better (smoother). Also i wanted the vertical line for wide angle at least i know the heated element is factory tested the old one was coming away from glass face has made the lines of the car far sleeker lovin the mirrors.
