Hi
Jus got myself a Sub and Amp for the car.... So far its going to plan battery in the boot and im leaving the stock head unit in and using a hi/low converter from the rear speakers... But I dont know were to put the remote wire?? I dont really wonna dig through the whole car for one wire...
Does anyone know if their is anywere in the car i can tap it from that comes on when the ignition is started or the sterio comes on?? thats located near the back? Someone said something about a wire behind the rear seat on the drivers side???
I currently just have the basic 6 speaker set up, no factory amp or anything oh and i have the bmw cd changer.
Cheers

I don't think it's as hard as you think.
The fusebox is in the glove box and i'm pretty sure you can tap into the air conditioning fuse which is switched and run the wire down the passenger side tucking it under the trim all the way to the back. :)
Was that you then parked near St John Wall school the other week?

LOL..
St John Wall school is just off OXHILL ROAD. Down oxhill road, turn left when you get to the Uplands Pub and along that road whatever it's called, the school is on the right.
Who owns the blue softstop with cream leathers?
just a thought but couldnt you tap into the cd changer remote wire?? Id assume there is one which turns it on when the headunit powers up [hmm.

I looked through both the wiring plugs for the autochanger and couldn't find a switched live anywhere, and all the constant lives were about 4-5 volts.
