ok guys was asked by Mitsu a few weeks back what the ///M power (sports button ;) ) actually does, i kno it remaps the engine but is there anything else does?

Dont think it remaps the engine, just adjusts the throttle response. I think.

...... [read dude in the garage said when i picked it up dont press that button in the rain it remaps the engine 2 be more aggressive :mad: why is it sales men talk utter pish?

I think it make it more responsive , but how it does it remapping engine or throttle ?

yes and no ....:) it does engage a different map parameter , but only for throttle response, as Lee says . ie degree of throttle flap deflection versus degree of throttle pedal depression

In the old days of good ol carbe we would get a similar effect by altering the "gearing " on the carb cable lever system by fitting a larger cable pulley or similar . Some people actually used to think the cars power had been increased :)

Yep, thats right. Press sport whilst accelerating and no extra power, not even a nats pube.

Just imagine after sport is pressed the accelerator pedal downwards travel travel reduces by 50%

you are in the wrong trade Nick , seriously . I would have to think long and hard to come up with even 3 good international tuners ( little CA included :) that seem to have such informed and instant accesss to the information resources you do !

LOL.....my rate is cheap, no money involved, just one DPE rim per hour ;) ....I'll throw in a colonic irrigation for you too Roy :D
