Hi ppl

I've got my hands on a set of ACS racing type 3's for a good price, need refurbing but i paid quite a bit less than just 1 wheel would cost new ;).
Just one thing i noticed which could be bad.
The sizes are as follows:

Fronts are - 8.5 x 19 offset 40 and the rears are 9x19 offset 47.
When I looked in the ACS accessories catalogue from bmw, there are two different listings for a 9x19 rears, one says:
40 offset for coupe only *only in conjunction with 7mm spacer
and the other says;
47offset for sedan only :confused:

So the one's i've got are for sedan only? surely it makes the offset the same with the 7mm spacer......

Any advice appreciated. [ok

Try A1 wheels in Wolverhampton. Its about £125 a wheel for a refurb on split rims.

Can deffo recommend A1 wheels in Wolves. They are excellent even though their place looks dodgy as hell.

As for the offset question, the 40mm offset for coupe with 7mm spacer would take it down to 33mm (if I am reading that right - the coupe rim has 40mm offset to start??? then add a spacer). So to get the same offset as coupe with 7mm spacer, then you would actually need to use 14mm spacer with the sedans 47mm original offset.

HTH.

Actually just read that again Kris.

I think you are right. I now assume that for the coupe you use the same 47mm offset rim but then add a spacer to take it down to 40mm. It's just too early in the morning :D
