what finish on AC type 3s

hi all.
im currently getting my wheels refurbed and cant decide on a colour. the car is a silver E46 coupe with 18"AC type 3s. i am currently dwelling on 2 finishes. the standard silver or shadow chrome like the shadow chrome CSLs. what do you guys think?

The safe choice would be silver, and it would still be a very good looking car. Darker colours will need other mods to complement it, so a to give a more cohesive overall feel to the car, like smoked indicators and a CF type roof for example.

Also darker colours make the 18s look smaller.

Silver for me too mate. As above check Myurans car he had shadow finish on his csl's now he's done the splitter etc he wants a brighter wheel as the wheels don't stand out

silver or hyper silver if you can get them to look like that. dark colour as said before would make 18s look even smaller, especially on multi piece rims.

forgot to mention the wheels are one piece, not the type3 racing. dont think it makes a difference. see what you guys mean about cleanless and how they would look smaller. did have my heart set on shadow chrome but you guys have the experience so i think il stick with silver to maintain that classic look.

Dude, at the end of the day its your motor, go with what you want at the end of the day - or go buy some shadow chrome 19s :p
