don't know if that makes any sense ... but how do people claims for dings and dents on protected no claims insurance? People say to me "my 3 years of not claiming was coming up so I thought it'd sort the dings out" and then the no claims stays protected ???
sorry if its a stupid question or that it makes little or no sense
Basically, you can claim twice in every 3 year period without it effecting your no claims bonus. After that you lose the protection and a couple of years no claims bonus.

Hmmm, good question. Not sure, but I think it only applies with the same insurer as my mum is with More Than and I am sure her policy actually has permanent protection (obviously pay extra for it).

If you claim some Insurance companies will not count this year as a 'No claims year' so you won't lose your no claims, but you will lose this years bonus....if that makes sense - so instead of 4, you'll stay on 3
Best to confirm with your insurance company though

Is it going to be worth it on the long run? You will have to state the claim for upto 5 years after and it WILL put your insurance premium up
