I remember back in 95 I had a choice of a black E30 Evolution and e36 m3, I decided on the E36 because it was the new model.
The value of the E30 would have doubled by now:(

Still at least I've had the csl...:)

Delivery mileage mate.

The clock often is first dropped ashore with say -15 miles or something like that,

Its so the dealers after moving it around their fourcourt getting it all prepared etc etc can sell the car with it on 0 miles - for the benefit of the new owner.

Bit silly really but thats the truth :)

That is truly amazing I have to say. It made me start to think so I went to my garage and found that I too had totally forgotten what I bought a few years ago and put in there......

He should auction the E30s off in Japan. Potentially a $100k a piece!

Thats rubbish cars never come with 0 miles on. Working in the car trade for 12 years the lowest I've ever seen is about 3 miles.

Right, then edit my post and put 3 rather than 0.

It's still the truth.. :)

My Alfa had 0.9 miles on the clock.

Unfortunately I think it came straight Off the boat onto a trailer and to me without going through the PDI centre first as it was Rubber Ducked ! :D

The story goes that he bought 2 m3's for his son's for when they past their tests but by the time that happened they didn't want a crappy old LHD bmw they wanted ferrari's so they just sat there for 20 years but when he started talking to a guy (bonkers on that forum) about cars and said he had 2 brand new e30 M3's he wants rid of, so he bit his arm and legs off.
The cars went straight to a BMW indy to be sorted out as they have not been started in 20 years!
I think he took the the merc and ford aswell.
here are the pics of them turning up to his house.

Hi Guys thanks for all the really nice comments!!!

A few people have asked how did i come to own the cars? well like life its self we all need a bit of luck from time to time!! i was in a hospitality suite at the Silverstone GP last year and got talking to a chap there about cars i mentioned that i collect cars and he took an interest in the subject and went on to say that he had a couple of cars himself and went on to tell me that he bought 2 m3's for his son's when they were kids for future investments there now 21 and 22, that's why there are 2 red ones (save's the arguments i guess we all know what kids are like) and he also went on to say that he also owns a merc evo 2 and an RS200 and there all brand new and unregistered, you can imagine how i reacted my chin hit the floor lol!
So we swapped telephone numbers and he said if he ever wants to sell the he would give me first refusal i thought that's the last i would ever hear from him, then in January i got a phone call out of the blue from him to ask if i wanted to have a look at the cars and see if we could come to an agreement on price if i was interested so we made arrangements to view the cars and it turned out the guy is a very very wealthy business man so much so he's a billionaire, you would never know he's very down to earth!!! so we agreed a price and the rest is history!!! Well chuffed!!!!!

wow what a fantastic find. Wouldn't be suprised if he paid upward of £200k for the lot.
