Mobil 1 ESP £32 for 5ltr as Asda

Asda have just stocked there shelves with Mobil 1
They have all types but the one that stands out is Mobil 1 ESP 5W 30W

This is what went in my car at service time
For petrol and diesel engines

1ltr top ups also available for £8.50

and for the 0w 40w guys £4 for 1ltr

You wont find cheaper!!

Went Asda today and saw the same deal, thought i'd take some pics to confirm! £32 for 5ltrs 5w-30 and 0w-40. Whats the best for my 320ci 55 plate as im due a service???

Also, im not sure how much this oil would normally cost??

...oh, i remember the labels on the back stating that the 5w-30 is LL-04 and the 0w-40 is LL-01... doesnt this mean the 5w-30 is best for me?

I dont know if i can hear a lifter but the engine sounds alittle noisey at the moment. not sure of the best oil?..

I use ESP in my e92 325d
I used 0w 40w in my e46 330

You can get 4ltr in costco of the 0w 40w for £25 so 5ltr for £32 is a decent price

the ESP was £49.99 in halfords,at present its £39.99,so again £32 is a bargain

My dealers wanted £130 for 7.5ltr of ESP lol

lol @ £130!... i've taken a look at my manual at my 320ci takes 6.5 ltrs.

the 0w-40... is that mobil 1?... sounds like castrol... also, what do costco need to get membership?.. i understand its just for trade customers?

320 will probz be 6.5 as its smaller

0w 40w is mobil 1

anyone can get a costco membership
costs £20 a year or something

will pop down to costco as sounds like its worth getting a membership, but ive checked out their site and they want all sorts of details to register....

Its an individual membership
You only need a utility bill or something

You need a LL04 Oil so you can buy and use the Mobil 1 esp 5w 30 from Asda

Otherwise if you know anyone with trade membership just get then to add you as an additional card ;)

I popped down to Asda today to get two 5 litre cans of Mobil 1 ESP 5w-40 which is LL04 spec, perfect for my 2005 coupe.

Also popped over to a parts specialist to get a genuine bmw oil filter. Thought i'd also get an air filter (not actually required for this oil service but thought i'd change it anyway as costs next to nothing).

I was also told by my local parts specialist he was willing to price match Asda with their oil, apparently Halfrauds are also price matching the Asda price of £32 for 5 litres.

Anyway, cant wait to get my hands dirty and get it serviced!.. had my front wishbones and bushes changed last week. Hopefully thats all the work it needs for a while.
