In a hurry to visit a tenant this morning, and failed to notice a couple of coppers with a laser gun as I rounded a corner.

They pulled me over, checked my details etc - everything came back fine.

They were interested in my private plate, but weirdly not bothered that part of the front one has peeled off (crappy cheap pressed metal ones).

After suggesting I should be driving more carefully, the main man, much to the annoyance of the female gun operator, decided to let me off with a warning :D

So thank god I've still got a clean licence :o I am a jammy git :)

I'm guessing I could have got up to 6 points if the rozzer was in a bad mood?

It got better - when I finally got to see the tenant who was checking out of one of my rooms, he gave me a bottle of single malt whiskey and said I was the best landlord he had ever had :)

Dont drink it mate. It could contain man juice :p

I was on the M11 last weekwend and decided to stretch the twin turbo's and unknown to me there was a police camera van parked on 1 of the bridges ahead. I tried to slow when i saw them, but i dont know if i did enough in time so i'm pooing it now

Same for me before Xmas,38 in a 30, but I'm doing a speed awareness course at the end of the month, better than 3 points.Could be quite funny though I could probably tell them more about cars I've picked up than they will be able to tell me :p :p

Surrey Police just offer it for clean licences I think :) then you cant do another one for 3 years. As for premiums 3 points dont usually count for much, hopefully you wont hear anything

I was hoping for something similar when I got pulled in the M less than 24 hours after buying it but I think the officer was just jealous as he was only in an E90...

Yep that's right. They have 14 days from the date of the offence to notify you.

I read about it somewhere, where people were getting away with fines and prosecution because of the recent postal strikes, and letters turning up late.
