i am really 50/50 on these 2...mainly because i cant decide whether to get a deep dish or not.
I think deep dish looks nice and eye catching...but the miro ones look so agressive....

Miro's for me too, I think they look classier ;)
Dibberly

looks like the votes go for the miros....which i think would clinch it as there easier to clean....more expensive but worth it!!
Off to wheel mania in birmingham in the morning to have a nosey and see whats there...if nothing catches my eye...then off to the garage to get the miros as i have borrowed some wheels to get my car there

I have not lowered it...its still on standard suspension / springs
Could be due to the LPG tank in the boot??

Hi all
just a quick question....
The garage i went to for the wheels could not get them to fit as they were to wide...the actual wheel fitted ok but thewheel sat to wide so the tyre rubbed on the arch. The rears were 9.5 and fronts were 8.5 by 19"
i emailed another company that sells the exact same whell and there saying they can get them to fit my e46 perfectly...in exactly the same sizes??
What is the second company doing that the 1st on is not??
I am assuming that its got something to do with the offsets...on the 19x9.5 the offsets come in 40/20/33.
Will any of the offsets above fit my car 100% or is the comapny saying that they will fit just trying to get business??
Its a shame that the garage is along way away or i would go in
alexsh1

I am assuming that its got something to do with the offsets...on the 19x9.5
the offsets come in 40/20/33.
Everything has to be with the offset. For non-M3 E46 the offset 40 - you do not need to do anything. Offset 33 is aggressive (roll arches) and 20 is far too aggressive.
Dibberly
31-01-2010, 03:44 PM
thanks alexsh1
i thought it had something to do with the offset....by the sounds of it the local garage had the 33...where i need the 40
So will the offset 40 go on 100% no probs??
What should the fronts be?
alexsh1
31-01-2010, 03:54 PM
yes, I think for E46 non-M the cut off offset is 35 (or around it). On my E46 I had wheels with spacers giving me the offset of 37.
alexsh1
31-01-2010, 03:57 PM
What should the fronts be?
I would go for something like 37-40 for fronts and rears.
Have a look at my wheels (offset 37):

Dibberly
31-01-2010, 04:32 PM
cheers for that..
so if i go for a 19 x 9.5 with an offset of 40 that will fit ok
What's the ideal tyre size should i put on the rear??
I know the profile has to go from 35 to 30 as the wheel diameter has gone from 18 to 19" but just curious on tyre width
alexsh1
31-01-2010, 04:39 PM
so if i go for a 19 x 9.5
For 9.5Jx19" you would go for 265/30/19 or 275/30/19 depending on alloys
alexsh1
31-01-2010, 04:41 PM
BTW, if you have in front 8.5Jx19" then you'd go for 235/35/19
Dibberly
31-01-2010, 04:47 PM
cheers...i will phone the local garage tomorrow and see what offset he had
So just to make sure everything is right for when i call.....
Rear: 9.5Jx19" offset 40 with a 265/30/19 tyre
Front: 8.5Jx19" offset 35 with a 235/35/19 tyre
Dibberly
31-01-2010, 04:49 PM
BTW, if you have in front 8.5Jx19" then you'd go for 235/35/19
looks like your as a quicker typer than me!!
was i correct on the offset???
i have a choice of 15/32/35 for the front
Cheers buddy

Alloys have been ordered.
Local garage never got back to me despite calling him to remind him...had to go elsewhere who to be honest sounded like they knew what they were on about.
Just gotta wait now...hopefully next weekend i will go and collect them!!
