iPhone advise

Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting an iPhone shortly, preferably a 16GB 3GS. I'm currently on vodafone, however am not due an upgrade til end of the year. My question is, if i purchase one on o2/orange pay as you go can i just put my contract voda sim in it? Am i right in thinking that they aren't locked to networks or got the networks theme skins on them due to apple not giving them permission?

i think PAYG phones are locked....but not 100% sure.

If it is i am sure there easy to unlock / jail break

The iphone will be locked. If you buy it on pay as you go, you would have to top up £15 and then the network will unlock it for you.

O2 will remove the free web & wifi bolt on but if you not going to use it then it's make no difference to you.
