Since last Tuesday my car was in the dealer for respraying the rear bumper and some warranty work ( I have a new M3 steering wheel) and they fixed the braking problem (I will post the solution later in the lose steering thread ). I got my car back on Tuesday when the night came I turned on my xenons from the light reflection the left light didn't seem right , when I went back home I aimed the lights on the wall , the right light had it right xenon shape the flipped L shape if you know what I mean , the left one how ever was all over the place it no shape of any kind , so i turned the car off and on and it just stopped working and my car no doesn't have warranty on the headlight because of CCFLs , teddy tried to help (thanks Ted) but I couldn't even get the bulb out and when I tried to get back on it wouldn't so I kept the wire disconnected (look at the pic ) and closed the cover.
So any solutions would be good (the cheapest off course) as I just had to pay for the respray )*RANT* which I hadn't anything to do with as my car was parked and this guy came and hit it , and he didn't even give me the money yet  *RANT OVER*
any help appreciated guys

hi mate
could you post up a clearer image at all ?
could be that :
1. reflector dislodged if painters had to re fit h / lamp
2. bulb has been bent / damaged
3. self alignment motor not plugged back in
4. bent locating ring for the bulb
all the best

They resprayed the rear bumper , not the from , and when I tried to remove the bulb to test it on the other headlamp to check if the lamp is actually working or not I could'nt remove it nor I could fit it back so I left like that for now with disconeccting the plug that is inside , what I noticed is the bulb having these small black dot inside the bulb very small .

gotcha
if bulb does not fit back in sounds like it or the holder have been bent in some way ; also if you say there is ablack dot in the glass bulb in the middle of thge glass tube then this means it has been breaached , letting in air and moisture , which means the bulb is now useless , you need a new one i am afraid .
I have a set of 6000k upgrade bulbs here you can have for £115 the pair , normally £129 .

will could it be because the dealer had put allot of water pressure on the headlight which is letting some moist in since I fitted the CCFLs as When I received the car that light had allot of moist and humidity inside ,and I have asked no to wash the headlight allot just a swift touch of water, could that have caused it ?

hmmm .. you would not normally expect a mechanic to blast a headlight with a jet wash so much or so near that it would cause so much damage ; but it is certainly possible .
The 6000 k are a little bluer in colour , slightly more output ( but not loads )

its not the mechanic ,they wash the car before you recive it and I did recive with half the headlight moist

when u installed the ccfls, you might have not fitted the lens back correctly, hence moisture getting in from the rubber seal (quite common).

I went to the dealer today and the said they've got a bulb and would fit it for me all for 100GBP , thanks Roy for the offer , but I think after using the car for a couple of days driving in the dark on a high with no lights on it with only one xenon i really hard I think I'm going to stop using the car in the weekend and fit the bulb on Saturday. Do you think I'm going to need any other part other than the bulb? maybe I'm not fiiting the bulb right correctly
