After 2.5yrs and 150,000 very, very hard, almost trouble free miles it`s time to move the Mondeo On, car`s now done a total of 170Kish miles and starting to feel a little tired but dispite of all the DMFW horror stories, is still on its original clutch with no signs of failing.
In my ownership its needed
1 front wishbone
1 set rear discs
2 sets rear pads
2 sets front discs
3 sets front pads
Countless sets of tyres
1 handbrake cable
1 gear linkage cable (under manf warranty)
1 set of injectors (under manf warranty)
1 fuel filter
1 air filter
Oil changes every 12K miles.
I`m actually going to miss the car and even with only 115 PS it`s been more than quick enough for everyday use.
The new Donkey ? Clarkson`s favourite, a Vectra 58 reg 150 cdti auto SRi, 1 yr old and half the new price. Quite looking forward to an Auto daily driver.

Nice one mate...Vectra's are a nice drive and at half the price for a 1yo is a steal.

Thanks Mark, I`m like a kid on Xmas eve................Not ! :D
Hmm SRi though, a pub pissing contest winner me thinks :p .
I may take it to the `Ring next year mate, with the extra Torque it has over last years Astra antics, I rekon there`s a low 9min lap in this and thats quicker than a lot of people manage in an M3. :p:D
Justin, don`t worry I`ll make sure the new owner knows whre to bring it ! ;)

Those things go on for ever.
Our works van has done 280,000 miles and worth around £200 in scrap.
Just spent near a grand getting it through the mot, the whole thing needed welding!!!!.
That engine is good for another 280k
