Hi im currently looking for an e46 coupe or convertible but i dont like the look of the non sport models, so id just like to know when the e46 with the full Mtech II kit actually came out.

If i were to buy an older model that was a non sport, say for example a 2000 318 coupe would i be able to purchase the full Mtech II kit, ie the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear valance, twin pipe exhaust etc.....? where could i source the whole kit from and how much would it cost me? or would i have to buy the parts individually?

Thanks in advance.

You can absolutely purchase the full Mtech kit. Your best bet is ebay, or the classifieds.

Just adding to Fas comments.... all parts can be purchased in one go or as you/ cash see's fit.
Im guessing if you are going down the 318 path and want twin pipes then u r going 2 b looking @ aftermarket products and the team would point you towards Eisenmmann.

and if your going to put twin pipes the rear bumper from the M-tech II you purchase should be for a 6 pot as the one for the 4 pots would only have space for one tip

The 2 places that spring to mind are are www.mstyle.co.uk and www.autovogue.co.uk they can supply and fit the whole kit.

the two companies that mistasmiff posted are your best bet for sure if you want to get the kit done all in one go, they offer a supply, paint and fit service. Alternatively, if you wanted to do it in stages, or if you're on a budget, my Mtech front bumper will be for sale soon

Thanks for the info so far guys, i will most probably be looking for a 318 for insurance reasons. The whole package that is available for the e46 seems quite reasonable, however im sure m3 mirrors can be bought for less than the £495 that autovogue want.....am i right?

Thanks again.

You can most likely find a pair of used mirrors for less, but usually it means being at the right place at the right time......breakers, ebay etc. If you buy new, the cost a lot. Don't forget painting and fitting.

However, the choice of replica mirrors are vast; and Teddy (mysticm3) can ruffle you up a pair at very good prices. You may want to check it out with him ;)

Teddy's the best bet for mirrors. I believe he does electric folding mirrors for less than £200 but not painted. Comes with a switch for the fold and should be able to be wired in with the alarm/ignition.

As everyone has said, you can put a full sport kit on afterwards. Mine was a non sport, and I bought my full kit from MStyle along with a whole host of other goodies (inc. OE M3 mirrors, etc). The price can be negotiated and is for a completely genuine kit. Alternatively, you can purchase bits from the likes of ebay, etc (alot cheaper), but you will have to wait a while for the right bits to come up. I'm not a patient man (and that combined with the need to mod.... ;) :D ).

@Rossi - Did you have to cut the diffuser yourself? It is definitely better to purchase the diffuser for the 6 pot as the cutout is better for twin exit. Nice 'zorst though :D

thanks raj328 and invisible_kid
yes, i cut the diffuser myself, fas did his as well.
the diffuser doesn't come as for 4 pot or 6 pots, there's only 1 type of standard diffusers as i have found out after fas told me where there is a very thin line where you'll need trim it if you want put a twin exhaust.
mine was also a non sport model, got all my kit from ebay, did take awhile though, but if i do it again, i will buy the whole kit from www.mstyle.co.uk
it's much cheaper now from when i first looking for it.

£995 + VAT for the full sport kit painted and fitted. The M3 lip spoiler was just the cost of the part without VAT as I had it done at the same time (so spraying was included with the kit). The mirrors though are another story. I went down the replica route first and was not happy so they did me a deal on upgrading to OE ones. The prices are on the website but if you are purchasing a lot of stuff then a deal can be struck.
