View Full Version : How much for new bonnet?

Ive been moving house for the past week.
During this time someone kindly reversed into the front of my car, scathing the top plain of the bumper, crunching/denting the bonnet around the left kidney grill area and thus causing the bonnet to crease up very slightly on the right hand side (all whilst looking at the car fron the front!!!)

I bascially either need my bonnet wackin back into shape or I need a new bonnet sprayed up in silver. The bumper is gettin done anyhow some time in the future once the other accident (lorry scraped my rear drivers arch) is sorted!

How much would this kind of stuff cost? Could I maybe source a bonnet sprayed up from salvage possiblly?

Aint goin via insurance - my premium whist now is acceptable, will fly throu the roof and so aint gonna throw away 4 years NCD for the sake of 500 quid!!

Pics will be up on monday!

Advise appriciated!

Cheers

Do you want a CF bonnet? The one that's on my car is for sale from Roy at CA-Autmotive. May be a little too agressive but it'll be a bargain!

Cheers for the offer - but I wanna keep it stock, the CF bonnet would not look right on my car. :)

My bodyshop would charge about £70-80 to spray it.

Original BMW bonnet = £258.50 including VAT
Non original BMW bonnet = £175 including VAT

Obviously add on postage and the spraying job, about £100.

Jamie,
I think the cost involved in pulling that out and getting it right would be more than sourcing a bonnet and respraying.

Jamie,
If you can hold off a few weeks mine is coming off to be replaced by a M3 bonnet [jam , I can enquire on delivery costs for you. ;)

It would need spraying up as it is sapphire black but no dents at all. :D
