Yeah i agree. 500lbft of torque just overshadows the M5's power. Although th handling wont be as sharp, just a little more refined.

yep 500lbs of torque is excellent! 380lbs from std e60 m5..

get da B5 and fit a nice aftermarket coilover suspension kit, uprated front/rear arb's and ya on 2 a winner ;)

Well i think the B5 is an absolutely amazing car. Looks amazing too. I think the new M5 just looks plain and boring really, ok it goes and you can change the looks.... :eek:

I like all the M5 gadgets SMG 7 gears ,M diff , power button , ..ect I study computer engineering I love technology :D the M5 could go up to 200MPH. All the setting theat you can do and stuff. and teh M5 looks more agressive than the B5

Yeah but all that technology and all those problems. Quite a few of the press cars have had problems with diffs. Also can anyone confirm that the use of Launch control is Limited? Thats just pure bullshit if it is, the feature shouldnt be on the car. How can you possibly release a 500bhp car, do 20+ hard launches and need a new clutch?

I like the M5 but if i were paying £70k for a bmw with an 'M' before the letters i would expect to drive it hard without many problems.

Digs, have you used Launch control on the CSL yet? Or anyone used it on and SMG car?

Wicked piece of footage, that V10 sounds awesome at full chat [bow not sure about the oval tips, prefer round myself as those look a little squeezed in for my liking.

Will I like my BMW even if it has a window problem here or rattle there so if I got the m5 I would have no problems , and I could live with a sound like that :D
