For some reason im having a real tough time selling the R8...

Now initially i wanted to upgrade to an F430, however I'm in the middle of changing jobs and possibly even thinking of having a go at my own business.

So been considering downgrading for a few months, just until i decide exactly what im going to do, and in the new job, 3-6months should give me enough time to start building up a decent bonus etc then can go get whatever i want.

I've been offered a few cars in part ex, 3 that are actually tempting me are:

2006 M6
21k miles
Grey with black leather
Fully loaded with BMW Warranty
£34k

2007 V8 Vantage
10k miles
Grey with dark red/brownish interior
Fully loaded with Aston Warranty
£45k

2007 RS4
32k miles
Grey with black leather
Fully loaded with Audi Warranty
£31k

The price doesnt have a major factor in them, they are all within my cash budget, they are all also relatively well priced so selling on shouldn't be a major problem later.

They all have things about them that make them great just finding it tough choosing which to go for!

If you need rear seats, its got to be the M6 if you dont, then its the Aston all the way, RS4 doesn't even compare or come into the equation

I would go for the M6.

The stupendous power of the M6 makes me want one, they are even faster then my Gallardo was, and ofcourse faster then the R8.

The looks of the Aston is just to die for, and its probably out of them the best priced and probably easier to sell.

The RS4, i wouldnt mind one at all, they have a great all rounder feeling about them, fast, goes well around corners, and a good few toys aswell!

I'll be going for one of them by the end of this week anyway, so not long to decide!

`Think it would be the Aston for me (even if just to tick it off the list) the RS4 is dull and I think you`ll soon get bored of the M6`s speed (especially driving in London).

Aston or M6

I'd say Aston, not because its the most expensive, but it carries much more presence than the M6 or RS4, and its by far the best looking car.
Don't the clutch's go on the Astons quite easy though? Not that it matters since its got warranty.
However the M6's are lovely cars too, but id choose an Aston any day.

I would go for the M6.

My cousin had an Aston Vantage, but didn't like much as a everyday car. He sold that and got a Bentley GT as a daily driver and keeps his Mclaren SLR for the weekends lol Alright for some hey!

If you don't go for the Aston would you mind letting me have the details for it?

M6 doesn't seem cheap and the RS4 is a no go!

Would have to be the aston bro! M6, awesome piece of kit no doubt, but considering the last 2 cars you've had I think the aston is the better choice. RS4, again fantastic, but different league to what you've had before.

Why not throw a 911 Turbo into the equation?

Agreed, I don't think the Aston would suit you to be honest, the Aston is more for a distinguished older mans gentlemans car ;) , your too young dude you need to be an old fart like me to drive an Aston :D

Aston for me. No way a old farts car.
It's the Gentleman's choice plus the bitches will love it.

Between the R8 and the aston, i'd choose the audi anyday, it's a much better drive. Astons are a bit too common vs the R8.

The M6 is just fat, and that's pretty inexcusable in a performance car. It does have (slightly) usable rear seats though. And it sound crazy at full chat.

Shofi aint no gentleman, that's my point! :p

I think all the cars Shofi has owned suit him and his young image, I forgot that he has already owned a 911 so maybe doesn't want another one.

Why not just get an M3 for now and save your pennies till you know what your doing with your job.

M6 for sure.

The Aston whilst looking nice is not that great a drive (IMO) and lacks power.

I'll put some spanners in the works.....How about a C63??

The price range is pretty much within the budget you're looking to spend.

Aston Martin for me, any day of the week. I just love their looks and image.

Rock up to a party and tell people you have an Aston outside and they will run out to look at it. Tell them you have an M6 or RS4 and they prob just say 'ohh, thats cool' and continue getting pissed.

Buy a 911 ;)

I had a 07 C2S last year, dont think i will want another, unless it was a Turbo, which right now, I'm only spending upto 45k so not in budget for a Turbo!

ok Shofi, your gonna get a bollocking from me unfortunately!

What is the point in downsizing from 60k to 45k? At the moment you are looking to change jobs and I am very aware. I honestly feel your best off spending about 30k atleast for 6 months till you find yourself settled!

I know you are worried you may loose money on the R8 but the thing you must remember is the gheys who were selling your car had it up for 65k! Put if for 60k and dont take any offers bro.

I would probably go for the M6, as you have never had anything that quick before and also you can use it as a reliable everyday car! No clutches going every 2 months etc. You will be able to get back up there in F430 territory for sure but now I think the sensible thing is 30k bro, no more!

Why go for an Aston? Slower and cheapy inside compared to what you had!

Secondly you made decent money on the Mini which was under a 10k investment, so if I was in your situation I would probably go for 2-3 reasonably priced cars and do it as a little business generating a profit each month until you get a decent job. I know u have the eye for this as we have bought and sold quite a few in the few months we have known each other. If u put your mind to it you can generate around 2k a month clear profit from buying and selling.

Anyway, I wish you the best and am sure you will make the best choice for your budget.
All the best,
Vic.
