Picked her up today and been ragging the arse out of it since.
Genuine E30 Sport in fantastic condition
Pretty much rust free too
Lowered on Eibachs
Z3 SSK
Scrapion exhaust ( to go in the bin)
///M badges to go in bin too
Full sport leather with rear head rests
LSD manual box black headlinig, Sport on the log book
It needs a bloody good clean and polish. It is red however it looks a tad orange in the pics for some reason

except it should be called a 328i sport as it has the M52 engine with the M50 manifold and BBTB.Engine came from a 5 series as needed the shallower sump but it pretty much bolts straight in there using the stock 325 gearbox prop and LSD
It hasn't been mapped yet.

I know the chap that did the build on it and he had done another 4 M52 conversions on E30's. This is the only Sport he has done as he was going to keep it for himself until an E30 M3 came along that prompted the sale.
Right time right place for me I guess.
Quite a unique car 200 plus BHP in a RHD E30.
Alusil engine is lighter than the M20 one it replaced so no handling issues either
Maybe some will think it sacriligous (sp) to do this to a Sport but I don't care I love it

I have a habit of getting great bargains and this was another of them
TBH its hard to put a price on something like this. Pre conversion when it was a stock 325i Sport I suppose the going rate in this condition would be about £3500 then there's the conversion on top. It was less than you would pick up an E30 M3 for

A good bombproof choice of engine for the conversion IMO
should be at least on a par with standard E30 M3's

Thanks for all the comments

That is really really nice mate, well done in purchasing it. 328 sports are quick as it is, and in a car that ways 400kgs less than the e36, should make it very quick.

Stunning car mate. I have contemplated an E30 M3 on many occasions!

With the M52 engine, M50 manifold and BBTB already done its probably quicker than a stock E30 M3 but with that 6 pot rumble. I need to get a clip up as it sounds bloody fantastic. I never liked Scorpion exhausts always thought them a bit chavvy but with the induction kit it does give some roar without ay drone.
I have always wanted an E30 M3 but they are all LHD which isn't the best for A and B road blasts because of overtaking viewing rather lack of it. with this car I have the power and the RHD so best of both worlds

Minor updates

The LSD (http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/ali-bumble/325i%20Sport/?action=view&current=CIMG0099.flv) works fine

Fiitted new battery and Bosche wiper blades
Gave her a wash

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/ali-bumble/325i%20Sport/CIMG0061.jpg

Binned the cheesy ///M badge

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/ali-bumble/325i%20Sport/CIMG0087.jpg

Binned the horrendous Clarion cd player in favour of a more OEM looking Becker unit.
Whilst all the gubbins was out I sorted out that little switch that was poking through beside the heater controls. Rewired it to the push switch to the above right of the steroe as it didn't appear to be connected to anything.
Neatens things up no end.

Apparently its BMW brillantrot in colour not the Henna, hellrot or zinnobar as previousl;y thought

Loads more tinkering to do
Look at brakes to see why they aren't as good as my cabs'
fix handbrake
source US Spec M3 cams
Give seats bloody good clean and treat leather
Fix little crack in dash
Give wheels proper clean
Sort out rear end handling as feels too soft when cornering
get new gaitors and nob for interior
Source battery cover and wee plastic tray thing
Source front brake ducts
Retrofit obc
loads more wee twidly bits

May well be the same one I viewed a month ago for sale at £3k if the reg ends VGG then walk away its a bin that has been rehashed. Vendor claims a full restoration and respray but there's rot on it everywhere and the panel gaps are shot. The claims of new rear arches were only the liners
If it's not that one I'll happily come along

Cheers Ali you've just saved me some petrol money :)

The chap sent me some pictures and it looked clean enough but there was some rust bubbling on the scuttle panel. A boy on E30zone was also singing it's praises which led me to believe it was worth a look. Oh well the search shall continue...
