I'm taking a look at an E92 M Sport this week. I can't decide whether it is worth dropping or not. The M Sport sits 15mm lower than the SE version.

What do you guys think? And if you think it's worth dropping, by how much would you drop it?

Ta. :)

i would drop it on the eibach pro kit. About 15-20mm drop and still have the comfort.

eibah pro kit is cheaper and less harsh than the H&R kit which gives a bit more drop but more expensive.

I'll send you a PM with all the details if you like

H&Rs are harder riding (static rate springs). Eibachs are progressive rate springs, which retain a more supple ride. I swear by Eibachs - fantastic OEM better than OEM ride quality (yes, really) and a subtle drop.

Agreed. H&R's are VERY firm and whilst aesthetically they probably do the job better than Eibach's, they make for an uncomfortable ride.

I have Eibach Pro on my current E46 (it's an SE so the drop was 30mm) and am pretty happy with that.

I am aiming to ditch the RFTs on the E92 and fit non-RFT 19s. I don't want to worsen the ride quality though. That's why I'm wondering about whether to drop or not.

Incidentally (and showing my ignorance of E92s here) what do I do about a spare wheel? Is there any sort of recess for a spare - maybe a spacesaver? Or do you guys just carry cans of tyreweld?

A spacesaver in 19" is not available, nor is there any allocated space for a spare in the boot.
Changing over to Non - RFT's is certainly a good step in improving the ride and carrying a can of tyreweld is really the only option, apart from picking up a spare 19" from the Bay.(no space in boot though!)

From personal experience (H&R's), I'd forget the drop, yes the car looked better, but the ride was very harsh even on non RFT's.

I've not tried Eibach's so can't comment either way.

I had the Eibach Pro springs on my old E46 with nonRFT (19") and the drop was perfect and ride was better than oem

However i havent had either kit fitted to my E92 yet so cant comment, i have seen a couple of E92's from the forum with H&R's and gotta say they look very nice and give the car a better stance.

I dont suppose anyone has any pics of an E92 dropped on Eibachs with 19's do they??? :o

I have run both Eibachs and H&Rs and am running H&R springs on the E60. To be honest they are fine. H&Rs are progressive depending upon application but are dearer than Eibachs though.

Anyway....in answer to your question....definitely drop it.
