A few questions so I can plan my mods well in advance...
What saloon / coupe bits will fit a touring?
1 - Is retrofitting xenons easy enough?
2 - M3 style mirrors?
3 - I'm guessing rims will be the same?
4 - CSL style front bumper?
5 - Side skirts?
6 - can heated seats be retrofitted if I can't find a car with 'em fitted (one of the wife's must haves :D )
7 - How about exhausts? (Don't want the same probs I've had on the Lexus  )
8 - any other suggestions?
Thanks well in advice guys :)

Sorry, not really answering your question but has the exhaust put you off the IS300?

Nah - am getting the original one refitted though, and certainly not buying any more Prolex gear
You know me Mitsu - can't keep a car for more than five minutes :D
Honestly won't be changing it until next year though!
Im a big fan of the Touring, nice...
Wheels the same as you had thought. If you are having to look around for heated seats cos i think that it wouldnt be worth retro fitting cost wise if at all possible, then you might as well get xenons.
Im pretty sure that up front the touring is the same as the saloon but im not 100%.

1) Buy a car with xenon since you haven't bought one yet
2) Possible. Double check with Teddy/Roy regarding base plate fitment.
3) Same but come on.....stock rims
4) Can do but not OEM (too much work) Get Vorsteiner (Roy/Teddy)
5) Different but Touring skirts look better than saloon IMO
6) Can be done PM navi806 for instructions
7) Plenty of choices. Eisenmann still the best! Definitely no Prolex syndrome.

1 - Is retrofitting xenons easy enough?
It can be done as long as you have all the bits. May be more cost effective getting an aftermarket HID retrofit kit. Check out http://www.h-i-d.co.uk/ for more info
2 - M3 style mirrors?
Yes, but make sure you get the Saloon fitment. Coupe / vert fitment will NOT fit, the baseplates are different.
3 - I'm guessing rims will be the same?
Yes
4 - CSL style front bumper?
You're better off getting a replica made for a saloon. Saloon and tourer kits are interchangeable, coupe / vert bumpers won't fit without major customisation
5 - Side skirts?
SHOULD fit, check measurements first, but they're all based around the same floorplan, so can't really see a problem
6 - can heated seats be retrofitted if I can't find a car with 'em fitted (one of the wife's must haves )
All modern e46 seats have the heating pre-wired into the seats. However, retrofit is a bitch. You need a whole new wiring loom as well as the buttons / button plate on the dash
7 - How about exhausts? (Don't want the same probs I've had on the Lexus )
Only one brand around these parts ;) Eisenmann :) Check out www.eisenmann.co.uk for pricing
8 - any other suggestions?

Cheers Nick!
And I didn't mean I wanted to keep stock rims http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/style_emoticons/default/sick.gif - just checking the rears are the same on the touring as other models!
Shouldn't be too hard to find one with xenons, but not so sure about heated seats - good to know it's possible to retrofit :)
