Forward planning again, as I haven't sold the X5 yet - very nearly though!

The 540 is going to be a budget modmonster

Will want to lower the E39 a smidgen, but remembering it's a family car and I have a sloping drive, won't be going for coilovers.

Had ACS springs on the E38 and they were spot on, but they are very expensive (I got a bargain on eBay :) )

There seem to be loads of suppliers, with prices from £120 upwards. Apex, Gmax, H&R etc

Are these any good?

Spax springs on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120368699682&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2208wt_873)

I think Spax might be a tad harsh Dan,why not a sportline kit from Eibachs? better drop than the Prokit but still a pleasant ride

Thanks Mark - don't want harsh!

Just seen the Eibachs on CA's site - not too expensive either :)

What's your price for the springs then Ted? And if I left the car at your garage to get 'em fitted along with the mirrors? But only if I get one of their luxury courtesy cars ;)

if you just want it a bit lower then go for the pro kit and you can keep your standard shocks. i will be going for the sportline kit with koni fsd shocks.

H&R springs are superb on the E60, but they are matched with Koni shocks. If the driveway is an issue I would stick with a prokit Dan.
