Hi all,

As of monday I am a BMW owner once again, picked up my new X5 monday, 54 plate, black on black, 3.0d sport, full loaded, will get some pics up over the weekend.

Noticed what looks like a tuning box under the hood, hasn't got any company names on it, all it has is a power led and a power adjustment socket. Not too keen on keeping it connected, if I was going to get a remap, I would prefer a propa remap to suit MY car without a box. Looks the same as the box in the link below

http://www.mydieselbox.co.uk/bmw-x5-diesel-chip-tuning-box.html

Does anyone know much abt these tuning boxes?

Can I just disconnect and put but to standard without any problems?

Thanks in advace

John

should be able to, if it i what you say then it's designed to be easily installed and removed.

What is the full spec of the x5 and did you get a good deal? Not many x5 3.0d at reasonable money at the moment.

You can definitely remove it. And I would definitely remove it. Ebay it, and pick up a proper remap dude. Let me know if you need a remap hook up ;) But otherwise DMS is the place to go..
