So has no one on here upgrades to the LED rear lights on their saloon? If you have, I'll have your old lights off you (if they are the later spec ones). Come on, there must be someone who has done it :)

unfortunately LED don't work on facelift saloon the plugs are only compatible with the early E46 saloons. There might be someone who upgraded to the late spec lights but opted for LED again so you never know :)

I've got facelift lights and want to upgrade to the LEDs but only want them if they look like the coupe and convertable OWM one which have LEDs for the indicators as well.

As the indicators are used day and night and have a very distinctive flash I think they are the most recognisable bit about the LED rears, the LED sidelights don't look different enough from the facelift sidelights.

quite true. fyi, i found some pics of the pre face lift and face lift rear LED-esque lights. i think the pre facelift ones look awful, just check out the indicator bulb:(

Yeah, that's what I don't like, they look like the stock indicators with the bulbs in the lens, as the conv and coupe had LED indicators would want the same on a saloon otherwise I'd just stick with the standard facelift ones.

There's something about the LED indicators, you can tell them a mile off when you are following a car with them on, the indicator blink is different if you know what I mean - it's a very sharp on - off flash.
