Question about 330 Brake upgrade - urgent!

Hi peeps.

After my last post regarding getting a BBK I decided to purchase a full set of 330 brakes (front/rear). I have the calipers/carriers and am about to order the discs/pads. Now I know the fronts are a straight bolt on but are the rears? I believe they are but I don't want to purchase new discs/pads for the rears if they actually won't fit.

check out the link to fanatics about 330 brake upgrades. The fronts are fine but the rears don't seem to be straight bolt onclicky (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=135425&page=3&pp=20&highlight=330+brake+upgrade) . If you read the post by 'digitalinkartis' about half way down he said that in order to do it there were other major parts needed (different ebrakes or something). Some of the other posts say that the rears cannot be done without major mods. If that is the case then I will just do the fronts for now.

Looks like I stand corrected. As you say, according to that site, you need the full rear suspsension of a 330 to make it work!

I know that the new 318's, 320, and 325, it's a straight swap, there must have been some kind of difference with 323's and 328's

reading further, there seems to be an ABS sensor wiring issues as well!

Oh well looks like it's just the fronts I'll be doing then.

Probably that's the reason why BBK manufacturers do not make rear kits for the 330, 325/323/328.

FYI ...Stoptech make a rear BBK kit ( 328 mm ) for the 320 , 323 , 325 and 328 ; but not the 330 unfortunately .

Which in my mind deffo proves that the rears are not interchangeable (without quite a bit of work) :( . Just 330 fronts it is then :D
