After months of modding my car, my wife has been nagging me to do stuff to hers. So, upgraded her to 17's (from 15's), race mesh and chrome grill bars :)

I used to have a 106 Rallye once (sold it to buy a house with the missus :( ) and these guys were one of the best around. Along with L.A.D Motorsport and 1 or 2 others!!

dude i think its springs on the front and torsion bar on th eback wouldn't go to mad as when lowering th erear on the pug the ride quality really suffers unlike bmw their build quality isn't really all that so a subltle drop would be better then a slam ;-)

Kav, tell me more about the torsion bar thing? What is it and what does it do? Also, where can I get springs from? You reckon Joe can sort it or somewhere like ECP, GSF etc?

And most importantly, can you fit 'em!

right dude i think eccose or something lik ethat sell the springs i would go for something like 30mm atthe front (i know demon tweaks also sell the springs for the pug) also ask joe he maybe able to order you some in. On the rear the ride hight is controlle dby a torsion bar which is a bit of a bitch to do do you know STS in slough I think there be able to adjust that for you i don't have the tool for that :-(

i wouldn't go mor ethen 30mm dude i think that drop will make the car look wicked and not spoil the ride height. You kno wthw chap that lives near me at number 25 his dad works for pug and they also have 307 etc etc so it might be worth asking that dude he might be able to sort something out :-)

That 307cc rally car is bad ass - saw programme about it recently, car is so stiff it doesn't need the roof and could be removed. A convertable rally car - cool - if a little dangerous!

I just took a look at the ecosse site and you're right, they sell the springs ONLY as a pair for £110. I'll ring them up and find out which brand they use. You say the torsion bar is adjustable on the 307? So you reckon it's worth getting the stock one adjusted or will the aftermarket one be the one that needs adjusting? And why don't you have the tool? I could be opening up a whole new modding arena for you!!

Can you talk to your neighbour and let me know what he says? If I'm honest, i'm steering towards keeping it standard as it's the wif'e's car and she ferries about the boy in it and I don't really want chav's eyeing her / the car up

ohhhhh NICE! :D Do you find the car tramlining much more serious than those previous 15" (or 14")? :o

No tramlining at all. the originals were 15's. 17's are slightly wider (205 compared to 195), it actually feels a lot more dialled in now. The tyres are awesome. Pirelli P Zero Rosso, grip level AA !!
