slightly off topic but this was my car before the astra back in my hot hatch days lol not a turbo but it was a 1.4 lx but we put a s16 lump in it which we board out to 2.3l with full race inturnels, carbs, twin stage nos, brembo bbk coilovers etc etc. was puttin nearly 290 bhp on the rollers without nos, but it just couldnt put the power down lol also had interior/install etc and was mag featured-lookin back at it now i hate the way it looks lol funny thing is i still have this car but its just parked up in a barn slowly being parted out!

jazz, anytime mate, although we all know 1295kg'd p1 with 340+ will win against the cupra & s3... but how about big daddy m5? still cupra should give a very interesting run, once the take off is perfected ;) modwise, looking at bigger turbo, water/methonal spray mist on the fmic for lil xtra ;)
Ade, BBS CH's look very nice on the black s3.. what mods did it have for 280bhp?

Tin the Zaf had launch control, its the only solution to FWD. You should try it on the Cupra.
wow.. some cool cars and some really blingbling ones! [jam

Well it had a fair bit done to it but the bulk of the extra power came from the AmD stage 2 conversion (Chip & Milltek Exhaust). The Lightened & balanced Flywheel also free'd up the engine nicely as well :D
I don't have it anymore but i still have the rolling road printout proving the figures....
Boy that thing was fast, it would eat my 330 for breakfast.....

Good spot Tin! The photo's of Ghost Rider's 499bhp Hayabusa Turbo. I can't find any pictures but there's a couple of videos here. The boy's a nutter!
http://need4speed.host.sk/videos7.html
Launch control hmmm...interesting..although maybe just retrain me feet ;)
ade, with the lightended clutch setup, was it still dual mass or single? any clatter noise on idle? chuck's s3 got the AmD remap & supersprint catback too, amd rollers got 265bhp/299lbs..
lol@hayabusa, mad.. simply mad.. 170mph wheelies.. damn!
It was a single alloy job. Yeah, there was more noise and more vibration when accelerating from low speeds in a high gear but it was easily bearable. The actual bhp was 278bhp. I know others have said that AmD's rollers do apparently read a little high, maybe this is the reason for the difference. Wouldn't have thought there would be a huge difference between the 2 cars.
Do you know if Chuck attended a RR day in Witham, Essex a few months back? I seem to remember an S3 there with a supersprint pipe on, just wondering if it was him....

I think AMD's rolling road tends to show higher figures as its one of the best in the UK with regards to cooling etc. It replicates road conditions better than any other rr ive seen or been to.
