Hi can someone reccomend what pads and discs to go for? I'd like improved braking over oem if poss mabe drilled disks and I don't wanna spend huge amounts either, where do you guys get them from? Is it possible to put bigger discs with the brakes iv already got or would that mean a BBk?

Performance friction discs seem to get great reviews at the moment, and as far as pads go, take CA automotive up on their 15% off offer on the Axiss ultimate pads, they are awesome

I assume I can't go bigger with the discs? Do you think £70 is reasonable to fit them Inc pads?

i have PF pads on the front but with standard disks

Not sure if it brakes better as i dont brake hard there is ALOT less dust from them..there is still dust - but just less of it!!

£70 seems about right - my local garage charged £20 to fit the pads and i think they said £50 if i got the disks done as well. But then i know the bloke at the garage and he always does my MOT's cheap etc so maybe got it abit cheaper...plus no receipt ;) so prob beer money

After thinking for about 10 secs i decided its not worth getting dirty for £20 so booked it in (plus i have never changed brakes in my life)

Ok cool, they seem pretty straight up guys there and have just changed four tyres and tracking for me, he said iv got about six months worth so it gives me time to try and get some deals on pads and discs.
The idea of less dust is very attractive as the ones on there now are bad, thanks for the help so far, anyone know about size of discs I know absolutly nothing about brakes.

From memory I think the discs are 324ish mm. I went with the OEM drilled discs for the 330d and they were superb (but expensive). Fit them yourself for nothing as they are not hard at all.

Stick with OEM mate. 330i brakes are good enough on their own. Its almost impossible to cook them on UK roads. Need a BBK if you are going to track it as you can get a bit of fade when they get really hot. The Drilled ones Raj mentioned are very good but pricey. I think old grey steve fotted them to his 330d as well
Keep well clear of green/red/yellow stuff pads, they are absolute crap and really for the halfords brigade

Dont believe it, i was following my mate in his m3 and the car suffered brake fade really bad, we were going some.
