Hi guys, I'm expecting my M3-style rear spoiler to arrive soon and I wanted to DIY the spraying. I need...
- primer
- orient blue base paint
- lacquer
I've visited Focus/Homebase/B&Q but there's loads to choose from and I wandered whether you guys had any specific suggestions of what/where to obtain these. Any help will be much appreciated:)
p.s. just replaced thermostat today, getting hot air now!
soz cant help about that paint but i also replaced thermostat other day :D. Surprised it fails in so many bmws :o

i got mine bmw cosmo black paint from halford.
halford have the bmw colours, i think i saw oriental blue.
pop down there and try your luck.
or you can go to the dealers, their colour coded paint comes with a free can of clear coat too but cost more then halfords.

Thanks dude. Did you buy the paint from Halfords in tins or in spray? And how good are the so called 'colour match'? IMO, difference in colour shades for darker colours (especially in black) will be less noticeable than lighter colour so I should be okay. the only reservation i have for Halfords near me is that staff there are mostly teenagers who don't seem to know much.
most halfords employees seem to know crap all neways.

paint was in spray cans.
colour matchs fine IMO. maybe becos it's black, but i had both bmw paint and halford paint, i used them both and can't really tell the difference.
