I have some new rims turning up later this week, but before I fit them I want to treat them to a nice wax to help them stay clean. Since Evo Techniks wheels are always the cleanest wheels i see, I wondered what you guys recommend for keeping them that way. not looking to spend a fortune, just something I can buy from Halfords or possibly a mail order away. :)

Also they are going to be 19's 235 front 265 rear :D . As there are no tyre pressures in the manual for a 330ci with these tyre and rim sizes does anyone know what pressure I should be looking to run them at? Or should I just copy that which I have my 18s at...

TBH, the best way to keep them clean is to wash them regularly. I wash mine at least once a week if not twice. That way, nothing can build up. Wax and all are all pretty much gimmick (again IMHO), regular warm soap water is the biz ;)

You need to run higher pressures on your 19". I would start off with 36psi front and 37psi rear.

damn it, cant edit it last message. Anyways as Nick says the best way to keep them clean is to wash them regularly. I find it that the wax helps get the brake dust off easier, i get crap loads!

Never ever used wheel wax. Just wash them regularly and you can try cleaners (such as I do - MC2). Spray the stuff on, leave for a minute or so, and pressure wash it off. Pretty much gets everything off. If need be (if they were really bad) then just a quick once over afterwards with a sponge and some warm soapy water :D .

after I wash them, I just use normal turtle wax (or whatever) and that seems to be repel brake dust etc...cheap ba$tard, I am...(Yoda talk) :)

waxing your wheels does make a difference as the tar and grime from the road will not stick to the surface as agressively so when it comes to cleaning them the dirt just 'glides'off.

I use wheel wax once a week....but as Nick says dont let the brake dust build up.

The wax gives it a nice shine and helps stop the dust sticking to the wheels also makes it much easier when you next come to wash them.

thats kind of what I was hoping for, I think I had seen some threads on E46fanatics where they had done just that and it meant less crap stuck to them. Thought it might protect them more in the winter too from salt and other winter rubbish.

Collecting them later hopefully... photos to come :D :D :D
