Just wondering if anyone has the ACS / 'M' alu pedal sets advertised on Ebay for only £15ish. Whats the quality like, and if they are crap where should I be looking? Do you have to drill holes in the OEM pedals to fit these?
Thanx in advance

From what I heard the quality is not good, surely with your new car you need to go for OEM from ACS etc quality @ the best price you can find otherwise you'll be disappointed, unless anyone does a really good copy which I've yet to find?
Sure the Doc or Roy/Teddy can advise.
Also, are you doing the handbrake & gearknob as well ?

I had the Schnitzer replica pedals for over a year and a half with absolutely no problems. Quality is actually not bad, a nice heavy feel with quality rubber inserts. I was fortunate enough to nab a genuine ACS set off of ebay for dirt cheap, that's the ONLY reason I upgraded, otherwise I would still be running them.
Speak to Teddy, he stocks these, and he also has the handbrake and gearknob so could do you a package deal?

Thanx guys,
They do seem very cheap for aftermarket pedals hence my query, but it sounds like they are ok. Where can I get the OEM ones and how much are they? Is that Teddy again, couldn't find them on the website, only E36 ones...
Won't be doing handbrake / gearknob Nickelback, I like the stock ones...the pedals just seem a bit bare ATM

i've had replica ACS ones (11 quid) and are they have been fantastic. I've not tried the real one so i can't compare, but bolts have stayed in and my foot hasn't slipped off at all. the oem price is just silly so it all depends on your wallet and if you really care about having all oem or not.
For £15, I'd just give 'em a go. If they turn out crap then it's no real loss.

They arn't too bad, I bought a set. You do have to drill into the main pedal to fix them. I fitted them to an e36, clutch was easy as the pedal is plastic, brake was more difficult as the holes in the pedal are wider spaced than the main pedal, so ended up fixing it just at the top. The accelerator is hardest, although it's plastic it's hard to fit the nuts on the back and you can't unclip it from the floor otherwise it's a new accelerator needed.
Quality was OK though (after all they are metal, with rubber inserts, no matter what price you pay) and on any of these pedals your shoe only touches the rubber which isn't much surface area. What I (and others) have found is that if your shoes are wet then they can be a bit slippery. Also they are wider than standard ones so (on e36 at least) theres not much room down the side of the clutch to put your foot on the rest.
I personally won't be buying another set to put on my e46.
