Hi All
Looks like I will be getting one of these, or a Loaded Estoril Blue X5.
I know a few members have a cayenne, what are they like? What are the must have options? Sat Nav, Air suspension?
What is the best model? I know the turbo is the one I want but I don't want to be spending 20K on a 3rd car.
I'm sure I read on here that someone had a problem with the air suspension? Was it costly?
What are servicing costs like?
I would obviously mod it!! :D
The Z is staying, but just need a big 5 seater for little baby :D
Cheers

ive got the cayenne, xeons satnav and airsuspension is a must, when you come to sell it the above options add upto about 4-5k extra on re-sale value. there pretty reliable cars, only issue i had was with the dipped beam error which is a known fault with porsche. service is every 2 years and is about £400-£500 but theres plenty of porsche specialist around that can do it half the price. but if u get tight with ur local dealer they will look after you. my local dealers porsche solihull are top peeps sorted my car within a day when sutton porsche took over 6 months and still couldnt sort out or resolve the issue.

I had the 4.5S - avoid the 3.2 like the plague - it is way too underpowered.
The turbo would be good but it returns single figure mpg - the 4.5S is best value and performance.
The Sat Nav is a must, as is the air suspension - I also had the cornering lights option which was very useful. Xenons are a given. The PCM is very useful as you can stick a SIM card straight in the dashboard and use the handset as well. I also had the heated seats + heated steering wheel which was great in the winter.
Stick to black if you can, or get a colour which will hold its value - 19" wheels are ideal - some of the basic ones come with 18" which just feel way too small for the car.
Hope this helps... best of luck!

It does help! Thank you for taking the time to write that.
I thought that the 3.2 would be enough! How many MPG did the 4.5 get?
Did you drive one without the air suspension?
I'm thinking black would be nice or a nice grey!
Yeah have noticed some wheels are poor but have my eyes on a few pairs of 22's. :)
Cheers

Hi Mate,
the 4.5 returned mid teens to 18mpg combined... which was similar to my M5.
Yes did drive one without air suspensiona nd difference was definitely noticeable. 22's although look very pleasing to the eyes, may not help the ride quality or the fuel consumption - I had 19's (factory upgrade) and they were good enough for me.
Some TechArt or Revere ones do look nice on the Cayennes...

Hi mate
really I thought I would get over 20's. :(
I think a test drive is in order!! Yes the 22's do look nice, and I think suit the Cayenne as the arches are quite big.
Yes I think TechArt's are the one's I have my eyes on.
They are group 20 insurance right?
