BMW INPA/EDIABAS software

Hi guys,

Ive got a hold of these leads:

Im trying to get it to communicate with my car but it doesnt seem to want to.I keep getting the following error "IFH-0009: NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROL UNIT". Has any1 got the above software and managed to get it working with there cars, specifically e36's.

Any1 got any tips etc they could offer me.

PS: My laptop is using one of them pcmia serial ports and not a usb to serial adaptor which could make a difference.

i have the software but i have a serial port on the laptop

i think only certain chip sets on the pcmcia cards will work it...i will dig mine out and lt you know what it is

The INPA only works using a serial port and Windows XP. There is a PITA method of loading the software as well !!!:mad:

I think Danch is the man.......ask him for a "lend" of his software and instructions
Otherwise if you go to piston heads forum under general BMW and search for the same , there is a long and helpful thread about using this.;)

Thanks for that buddy. I have tried downloading danchs version as well and still get the same issue. I have now solved the IFH-0009 issue. |It turns out my interface driver was installed for ads and not obd. Changed this and got rid of the ifh-0009 error.

Now I get the ifh-0003 DATATRANSMISSION TO INTERFACE DISTURBED. I have tried searching on the net but cant seem to find anything.

Also have you got a link to the topic on pistonheads. I have tried searching but cant seem to find it.
