For months now i,ve had a really bad vibration on my 530 charger and its been doing my head in to the point where I hated the car.

I had the wheels balanced 4 times by 4 different company's with no joy at all.

The vibration was coming through the floor making the seats and dash shake at speeds from 40mph to 85mph. Someone said it was likely to be the prop shaft so me and Mark got to work taking it off, plus he got to use the grinder so he was over joyed:D .

Took the prop to a specialist who said it was fine so was at a dead end:confused:

When i had the car in the air i noticed a kink in my front wheel so took that to a wheel furb company and they said there's no way that will cause that much vibration but your tyre dont look even. anyway managed to get my hands on a tyre and had it fitted but Vibration was still there.

Just before i reached for the can of petrol and the lighter i went on the net and found the company www.vibrationfree.co.uk

So i gave them a ring and went up to them on monday. Took the guy out in the car and straight away he said its your wheel balance, dont worry we'll sort it and smiled :D

The difference with these guys is they balance the wheels while on the car with this little machine
<a href="http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/?action=view&current=100_0545.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/100_0545.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Anyway they got on with it and had no probs with the front wheels.
<a href="http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/?action=view&current=100_0542.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/100_0542.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Then they got to the back and when span the wheel it was shaking like mad:confused:

Here's a video of the back wheel on the machine

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWaexcBtnrM&feature=channel_page

The problem was the wheels were not sitting on the hubs as they should so causing the vibration. No probs i was told and about 30 mins later i had 2 half mill steal spiggot rings to put on the car which the owner made on his lathe:D
<a href="http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/?action=view&current=100_0550.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/100_0550.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/?action=view&current=100_0552.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd265/dontsnatch/100_0552.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Once that was done they got on and balanced the rear wheels and took it for a spin. Good news is the car now feels brand new and I love it again :D

These guys - Steve and Alan would not let it go til it was perfect and I would recomend them to anybody, absolute stars the both of them.

Regular tyre shop's aint allowed to use them now coz of "heath and saftey" and these guys are meant to be the only people to do it and get customers from all over the country

Never seen that machine before, where about are they located and the cost?

The cost is £55 per hour + VAT. Unless there are problems like what i had and its just a straight forward wheel balance then it should only take 2 hours to do.

I've got the same issue on the S5 from 65mph and above.

I think i'll need to get these guyz to check my wheels out too.

i dont think there is to be honest, after searching the web it always went back to them. when i was there Steve the boss disappeared up stairs to give someone technical advice over the phone. i was surprised when he told me it was Mclaren F1 team which goes to prove he knows his stuff. its only a small company with 2 people working there. most of the time i think they balance race engines and stuff like that.Trust me its worth the journey :D

I'll be making the journey (from Scotland), most likely at the beginning of May, as no one has be able to solve my vibration issue and i'm sure it's down to the wheels/tyres.
