Decided I'd fit the new pro kit springs myself after speaking to jazzman, and it doesn't sound too hard. Today I attempted to fit the rears, whilst waiting for my spring compressors for the front (which should arrive tomorrow). I managed to get the passenger side one fitted, really simple, unbolt the nut connecting the shock to the controlling arm, pull out the old spring and put in the new one.
However, the driver's side bolt was very very tight and wouldn't budge (even after spraying half a can of wd-40 onto it!). I tried everything I could with the tools I had, even jacking up the spanner whilst holding it against the bolt. But this just moved the whole shock upwards
Any ideas!?! Might have to take this to the garage and get them to undo it and use one of the air guns they have......
Meanwhile my new Rieger lip arrive (only one for my bumper I believe - mtech 1), so will get this painted and fitted ASAP. Anyone got any hookups for bodyshops in the North London area? Had a few quotes but don't know if their work is any good.
