Went I start the car with my lights on, the Xenons flicker inot life, rotate all the way down to the ground and then roll back up to the straight ahead position. Does anyone know why? Just curious

mine come on, then tilt down then up again?? dunno why , but think cos its got the auto angle leveller thingy in, and it tests it or something??

Yeah it's the auto height adjust, which is why if you fit CCFLs you have to leave a little slack in the wiring near the rings. Nothing to be alarmed about, everyone's does it. :)

Yep mine does it and I don't have Xenons ..

its part of the self levelling and headlamp check control system .

originally designed with Xenon in mind , BMW decided it was cheaper to fit this across the board on all cars , Xenon or not .
