It's pretty old news but has anyone tried using the street view on google maps? I'm pretty blown away by the detail and how much you can actually peer into other peoples houses!
http://maps.google.co.uk/
Just navigate to somewhere and drag the little man icon (above the + on the zoom control) onto any road which lights up blue. Use mouse buttons and arrow keys to move around and zoom etc.
Most main cities have been done.
My house and street has been done now which is pretty nifty and freaky I must say. I'm sure I can see my head through the window.
A random spot as I checked out my address in Leeds:

ha, unfortunately not.
It was just pretty much the first point I placed the little man icon and thought it was quite cool to be facing a CSL :).
I've spent quite a lot of the day just roaming around on that thing.

It was last year, May June ? on my way to Thorpe Park near Sainsbury's, I used to go through a bit when we were based on Coal Road but were now in Horsforth, so not so much now :)

Yea it was perfect for me. that archway is where I worked. It was just pure fluke if you could get parked there though, everyone else had the same idea!
I nipped out to move my car 2-3 times a day as there was always at least 1 or 2 short-stay spots available somewhere.
