Hi guys, im quite interested in buying this car, main points that attracted me were the fact that it had warranty remaining on it, bmw service history, and unmolested. it looks like a pretty clean example. im just wandering how much you think i should be paying for it if i decide to take the plunge into Mpower ownership. In no ways am i dislillusioned about how expensive it is to run an M3 costs, i could afford to run it on daily basis, ie petrol and few mods here and there. Only thing that worries me is hearing stories of Inspection II's costing £2000+. what exactly will the warranty cover and how much should i be putting aside monthly to run the car? Also, did i hear correctly that to renew the warranty now costs £700+, if so i think i would still take it....what do you guys think?

Advice much appreciated.

Ismail.

OK, the SMG box on those cars are not great, you are btter off with a manual.

Have a look at BMW 4 Plus, it is a service schedual for BMW's over 4 years old, you will find their service cost much improved. It even works for M cars. (not all dealers are part of this scheam)

Other than that, you should have no worries with a warranty, they are great engines (bar the vanos).

Have a look on autotrader for loads of examples of these cars and this should give you an idea of what it is worth.

iv contacted the owner, he says the car is part of the Mplus scheme, giving 20% off dealer prices.

What's Mplus, have you got any info?
Std BMW via your local $tealer is 4 Plus which if the $tealer is a member usually get's you 10% off
