Thanks to all those that turned up, turned into a proper EvoTechnik meet.

I convoyed up with Durgesh, AJ, Mizon and Shuriken, and there were already about 6-7 other ET cars and when we pulled up we got an immediate audience :D

I took some video, but it's all off-the-line stuff as opposed to the full drag, but I'll see what I can do, but don't hold out too much hope as "someone" forgot the tape!

As for times, Nick officially has the slowest M3 on the board [banana , I think PaulM3 had the fastest, hopefully he'll be along later to confirm.

Some highlights for me.

1. Ariel Atom - holy crap that thing is FAST!!!! and sounds amazing
2. Mit's 911 turbo. Sloooooooooooooow off the line, but a rocket ship within about 2 seconds! Unbelievable!
3. Subaru Impreza - White. NO idea what the guy had done, but it had the biggest intercooler I've ever seen. 10.9sec 1/4 mile! The thing was a beast!
4. Hyabusa! 9.8 seconds 1/4 mile with a 171mph terminal speed!! 171!!!

Excellent day guys although my face resembles a lobster at this moment in time. Good to meet everyone Fas, Durgesh and Lee to name but a few, i think i managed to speak to most of you if i didn't i do apologise im sure i will at future meets.
I think I can vouch for everyone here that the standard of cars on the forum is top class! We get good back up from ssdd and CA to help with this.
Thanks for decals Fas put them on already look the biz jus the right colour for my car.
Hope to see you all again at the next meet!

The porsche 13.1....there was a bit of turbo lag in first, but I was told if I did left foot braking and reved to 3k then come off the brake, it would have been on boost all the way...maybe could have got into the 12's

That's why I have decided to keep the GruppeM. You don't notice it much from the inside, but it sounds good on the strip.

Just as a matter of interest. I took my Ap22 performance meter with me on one of Sundays runs. It read 14.9 seconds. The actual time slip was 14.2. That is a .7 second error. This run was done in 30 degree scorching heat.

I have just gone out in the late evening at 20 degrees and recorded 14.1 on the meter. Both runs were done in SMG auto mode 5 with asc on.

So. I reckon we can all take .8 of a second off our times on Sunday for a more realistic time.

Does anyone else have any times from a previous cooler run to verify this? I think Matt was about .8 down on his previous times.

Does .8 of a second for 10 degrees of heat sound feasible? :confused:

Ive ran a 14 dead in 13c temps, that was with the awful 2.93 diff, so yeah i should expect a mid 13 in good conditions.

What were your trap speeds? Matt what was yours?

So it seems that you are also about .8 of a second down as well. That heat has a lot to answer for !!
