I've been searching various sources for a DIY on this but to no avail.
This is what I'm planning to do so please tell me if i'm right or wrong. I can do without having to buy a MAF sensor! (If at this stage you are not familiar with what a MAF sensor is, feel free to stop reading and exit the thread.)
As I cannot find any CFC MAF cleaner on this continent I plan on buying this-http://www.screwfix.com/prods/41990/Cleaning/Chemicals-and-Detergents/De-Solv-It-Electrical-Contact-Cleaner?cm_mmc=GoogleBase-_-Datafeed-_-Cleaning-_-De.Solv.It%20Electrical%20Contact%20Cleaner
Ensuring the car has been turned off for at least a few hours, I will then remove the MAF from it's housing, spray said product generously onto the MAF sensor and dab dry with a cloth/ towel. I will then re-insert the MAF, screw it back into place and wait patiently for at least 3 hours (???) until, hopefully, dry.
I will then start my car, drive for a while and enjoy an extra 10hp! :p
Apart from the last sentence, does this seem reasonable??
