I was looking through ebay at the skyline's as i was curious after going out for a drive in my brother in law's r33 gtr and found
This (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2001-Nissan-Skyline-R34-GTR-2-8-HKS-high-deck_W0QQitemZ220324584830QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutom obiles_UK?hash=item220324584830&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A7|39%3A1|240%3A1318) :D :D

The one i went in is running 520bhp, that thing must be an animal at 1200bhp

personally i think if you took off all the stickers and badges, put in the other headlight and took of the rear spoiler and put something a little less like an ironing board on the back it would look pretty

Wouldnt spunk £75k on it though

This looks like the ones Tilly was posing against in Devon or Cornwal! (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Sambar_W0QQitemZ220304852844QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAut omobiles_UK?hash=item220304852844&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318)

Yeah its no way worth that, not even half. I mean it would be great for drag racing but not track.

I like that and think while the styling's not for everyone that is generally the Jap crap method of styling :)

Yeah i think thats the Sumo Powered gtr r34, got a massive poster in my room :D

Yeah i think in most cases with Jap cars they just mod the crap out of the engine and performance.

dnt care what anybody says that car is insane...

and all the mods must be for a reason...

if thats the sumo car (which looks like it is... ) that was pumping more near 1000bhp... and them mods... would have been a needed big time...

C'mon own up who would really spend 75k on that skyline. The power is impressive but the price is a NO NO

Skyline for 75k, what this guy on crack maybe the engine was made out of gold. Rather get a prosche 997 tt and that will be way fast and actually be nice to drive.

I bet that car would be a dog to drive too.

That's some heavy duty horsiez.....only 1,100 miles on the clock???

Yes, I think there might be a reason for that....

when you take into account.. how much it probably cost the company to tune that up... then... its probably a bargin...

as going from 280 to 500 doesnt take much effort... but going from 500 to 1000 and over... blimey now your talking some serious engine work...

so i guess the price would be justified... if you were after such power...

75k is not unreasonable in my eyes. You will still play circa 30k+ for a year 2000 R34 V Spec II. sometimes in excess of 40k for a nur. spec

The price in my opinion is justified, its just a very niche market because lets face it... that's no daily driver!

It's running a 2.8 litre lump not a 2.6 so its either running a stroker kit or a complete aftermarket race lump. By the sounds of it its actually a custom manufactured HKS one off bottom end so you're talking knife edged cranks, forged pistons and con rods etc. As standard these cars are a six cylinder car but this monster is adapted to run 12, yes 12 injectors and 3 fuel pumps.

The whole top end is also HKS through and through inc valve springs, lifters, cams, racing wastegate and GT3540 twin turbos... SH*T THE BED!

It run a twin entry intercooler with all the gubbins to take such high boost pressures, temps and strains, a Top Secret GT inlet plenum, HKS oil cooler, NISMO engine mounts, triple layered rad and twin fans etc

^^ You're talking tens and tens of thousands here alone and thats just the engine. Moving down to the chassis you're hitting ohlins adjustables with adjustable top mounts and pillow ball front arms plus the usual uprated roll bars, bushes, strut braces etc. I can't find much info on the gearbox but its deffo running a NISMO diff mount, a HKS torque split controller with a triple plate clutch. Obviously there will be some f*cked up aftermarket internals to cope with such power but I'm not sure what... I'm assuming somekind of anti lag system will be in place too although that's not for definite because it is running the twin turbo setup...

The rims are worth a few grand plus the Top Secret bumper and wing etc. Although not to everyones taste aesthetically this monster is a thing of purpose and EASILY cost well into 6 figures. The amount of blood, sweat and tears that must've been put into this car is immense. For those in the position to, its a good buy :) Unfortunately for mere mortals like myself its just a dream car.

To put things into perspective... think how much WRC cars sell for... This is a similar idea but a different purpose altogether, proper monster. Good find :)

A fully seam welded shell so it doesn't rip itself to pieces, a 13 point roll cage and the usual recaro buckets etc etc

also the exchange rate is making the price go up at least 40%

Tilly,
something tells me you know a Little about the jap scene

Not really my cup of tea but like you say that car has some serious modified parts and has had an unbelievable amount of money spent in development (would be good to find out these figures)

would of been a good colour combo ginger and pink...as for the skyline i reckon its worth its money, but i dnt think it would be a ideal everyday driving car, for a weeked\track toy for someone whos got that sort of dough lying about would be a good buy.
