hi Guys

Hope you can help

I am after some advice on costs

My car failed its MOT on pads being low all round and

nearside and offside front suspension having excessive movement at a wishbone pin or bush

Any ideas how much I should be expecting to pay to get the pads and discs done (discs mentioned in the last service) by an independent

And any thoughts on what could need doing re the wishbone issues

And lastly anyone recomend a decent independent in SW London

Any help greatly appreciated

I'd say 250-300 for the discs/pads all round. Not sure about the Wishbone

are you bothered about the make of discs/pads? if not then ECP/GSF sells plenty of OEM alternatives (ATE, Jurid, Ferrodo etc) quite reasonably and a decent mechanic can swap pads qround v quickly (I'd swap them around for you if I had the time!).
as for the wishbones, I think the bushes are shot as they are quite common so maybe swap them out with an uprated one.

German Swedish def good place to get parts for decent price.

Try K&M Autotechnik in Maidenhead. There very very good Indy specialist.
