Hello and a happy new year to all !!

I have a quick question maybe somebody might have an answer to !

My car has been sitting ont the drive for around 2 weeks so i thought i would give it a run round to a mate of mine .

On driving the car i noticed a flashing warning light on the dash , a symbol of a cog with an exclamation mark in the centre , i had a look in the service book and the light was described as ( SMG overload ) . i stopped the car for 5 minutes then carried on and the light didnt return .

any ideas ?

Rob

make sure the bonnet is fully closed, I'm sure it wont move if it is open but worth checking, then try re setting the SMG box, drive along at 50mph put it in to neutral then pull both paddles towards you for 5 seconds, let go and back into gear, it may or may not help, worth a try :)

Might just be a SMG relay that has failed, just book it into a dealer.

Don't want to risk damaging the SMG box, otherwise will work out very expensive.
