which comps? your thoughts

Just been having a look at various components for the front of my bm, and just wondered which you guys recommend, need to be mid priced £200 ish been looking at the likes of focal, diamond, jl, dls, rainbow, have been offered some jls xr i think for a good price which i might use in the front or the rear but not sure, i wanna get the best sound for my money.

depends how much you are getting the xrs for?

if less than £200 than yes i would use them any day. they are very good.

Yeah they are either xr or vr not sure which, wanna put something in for rear fill what would you suggest? Andy did you get my pm?

Just to add, the XR components are excellent -. I had a set as 6.5" for the old car - but if you really want the best then ZR are a world above; Andy does them for a good price too... :)

cost a fair bit though. not looking to spend loads as i dont know how long ill keep the car, maybe a year or so.

Go for the ZRs if you can, the midbass is awesome. Will be a worthwhile investment. You can always take them out of your car when the time comes to sell.

I'm getting the xr's at a good price so need some coaxs for the rear fill, wanna spend as little as poss and get a decent sound maybe jl to Match the front, nearly picked up some rainbow phase plug comps on the bay for less than £100 they didn't come with crossovers or tweeters but retail for over £500 normally so would of just had to add them, any thoughts?

Fair enough, a custom baffle would be needed I think, but its do-able.
