Mirrors Autofold Question??

Quick question guys I have a 2004 BMW 318CI CONVERTIBLE,with heated seats and memory.
Is it possible to get the mirrors to autofold.
I have the standard mirrors, do I have to get (AUTOFOLD) activated from the dealer or can I do it myself? :confused:
Any advise much appreciated.

Are your mirrors the electric folding ones, ie do you have the button on the drivers door to fold the mirrors?

I do not have the switch on the driver side, so does that mean I have to gets motors etc for it to work?
Is it best to wait for the M3 mirrors to come out for the facelift version or spend on upgrading these?

Don't know how difficult it would be to just fit the motors so can't comment but it would definatly be easier to fit the electric M3 mirrors. If you manage to get some then the dealer can program your car to auto fold the mirrors when you set the alarm. Hope this helps

I'm sure when Teddy sees this he'll fill you in on whether it'll be a short or long wait for his factory to sort the facelift ones out, but it would be much cleaner and easier to wait for them. If it were me, I'd wait until Ted's guys get them sorted out and do it 'properly'. The only other option I can think of is to buy OEM ones, but I wouldn't even want to think about the money that the dealer would charge you for that...
