Perfectly happy with mine. It doesn't increase performance per say, but it sure does improve the driving experience on my car (certain cars, especially performance cars with highly strung motors, the Sprintbooster effect could render the car less drivable). However, for your 330ci, I think you'll love it.

Er dont see how im sure they just increase the speed of the elctronic throttle response. Thats exactly what the sport button does isnt it

Those that have them fitted swear that its "different" to the sport button being pressed,I always thought that it would be a "feel good" factor thing, but I haven't ever driven a car with one fitted, mind you Jay your van would be mental if you had one on that :D

Imagine having another bigger sport button next to the standard BMW one!
This is exactly what the sprint booster is :D
Sorry to thread jack, but on my 51 plate Bora do you think it would have an effect. I was under the impression it improves response with vehicle with a fly by wire throttle? Or am i thinking of something totally different.
Correct, although basically..
Numbers out of the air, but: The effect of you stamping your foot down every time you want to go anywhere, would be the same as getting a sprint booster. Its not really an improved response, it just makes the curve of responce build more sharply, and then the last 30% or so of throttle depression all counts as 100% depressed. IE at 70% of the way to the floor, the throttle is actually fully open.
Hope that makes some sence.
ps they only work in fly-by-wire cars..

I think mine is a cable based throttle. I know when i drive newer cars, or my dad's Disco 3 you can press the throttle & a fraction of a second later the engine revs. I find it really annoying, its not a big think but it is noticable. I suppose in those instances the sprint booster would be of use.
Yeah was VERY noticable on my peugeot..

Fitted mine today and i was quite surprised, i think my driving style will have to change, as the throttle is fully open a lot sooner so quite a gentle push sends the car flying
Aye. Some people hate them, others love them. Should be about 75% throttle = 100% throttle. If you get what I mean..

Not so sure about it now, im finding if i wanna drive hard and fast everywhere its great, but if i got the baby and the other half in the car its a pain, you try to pull out of a junction fairly quick but not so much that everyone is thrown back and you just cant do it, it seems all or nothing, also cause im trying to balance the power and stop the car pulling away to fast im smelling my clutch quite a bit, im gonna give it another week to see if i can adapt to it if not its coming off and ill sell it.

Hi Phil im probably going to sell my sprint booster, if it had a on off button it would be great or a switch to change the degree the throttle is open it would be even better, iv taken it off the car and it really does make a difference to how the car feels, makes it feel more alive, its just a bit to much for when i have the baby in the back, another forum member asked if it would work with a auto 330, my car is manual??

Had mine fitted now too. Makes a massive difference to the way the car drives you have to be a lot more sensitive with the throttle. Its very deceptive when other people drive it though they think my car is so fast lol.
I don't have a baby so I'm keeping mine :)

It is good for driving fast.... could do with a on/off switch, i found it difficult pulling away from a junction fairly quick but without flying forward throwing everyone back in their seats.

Hello mate ,
unfortunatly they are different for manual or auto so it wont fit. Sorry your not getting on with it but i do understand you have to think of the baby first.
cheers Phil
