Hi all,

Thought I'd introduce myself.

My name's Chris, I'm from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs, and I'm 20 years old. I've recently purchased an E39 BMW 523i SE, which I'm really pleased with. It probably doesn't compare to any of the BMW's on this forum, but it will be great to get info and ideas from you all in the future :)

Here's a picture of my car.

More pics can be found in my Talk Audio members gallery here:

I think first modifications will be an upgrade in the lighting, such as angel eyes and clear indicators/side repeaters. I'd love a set of 19" AC Schnitzer type 2 wheels too, and a slight lowering on FK Highsport coilovers.

This looks like a great site, so again, Hi to you all

:)

Chris

Also on the ICE note. You are mad for even contemplating this lol!

Now THATS an ICE install !

welcome to the forum and enjoy !

Afif, that ICE install was done and dusted in my old car, a Vauxhall Vectra.

The install going into the BMW is the other picture, with the McIntosh MC4000M 6 channel amp :) In my opinion, the Morel Cannon is a better subwoofer than the JL W7's. W7's are good, but they're not the best. I used to own a Resonant Engineering XXX-15, which was on par with the W7 sound quality wise, but could handle a lot more power and was more fun;) At the moment, this little lot is going into the BMW...

Pioneer DEX-P9R headunit
Pioneer DEQ-P9 digital EQ & pre-amp
McIntosh MC-4000M 6 channel amplifier, for the front end (active front end)
JL Audio 1000/1 monoblock amplifier
Morel Supremo tweeters
Morel Elate 5 midrange drivers
Phoenix Gold Ti Elite 9" midbass drivers
Morel Cannon subwoofer

If anyone's interested, I can post some step by step pictures of door builds for 9" midbass drivers and custom A-pillar builds for tweeters and 5" midrange drivers, when I get round to doing them :)

However, I'm going a bit off topic. But if anyone needs any help or advice on audio, I'll be happy to help.

Thanks for the great welcome. I found this site from a link from Talk Audio a while back, but it's only yesterday I decided to sign up:D
